RENEWAL CRITERIA FOR UNDERGRADUATE NEW STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Tier 1 / The National Merit / GED 1 & 2 Scholarship Criteria: ? The scholarships noted above are renewed for a second year with a 2.5 GPA, for a third year with a 2.75 GPA, and for a fourth year with a 3.0 GPA. Students are also required to maintain full-time status each semester [To graduate in four years, a student should average 15 credit hours per semester. Taking fewer than 15 credit hours will extend time to graduation by as much as a year, but scholarships will not extend beyond four years. Taking 15 credit hours per semester versus 12 credit hours (both are full-time) per semester could save you and your family $30,000 by avoiding a fifth year]. ? Academic scholarships are limited to a maximum of four (4) consecutive academic years for all bachelor degrees. Engineering students completing the dual degree program are limited to a maximum of three (3) consecutive academic years.

GENERAL ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP & AWARD GUIDELINES

? Awards are not transferable to other terms, years or persons. ? State and federal grants, as well as other external scholarships, grants and subsides, will be awarded before Oakwood

University scholarships are applied. Oakwood University's scholarships, including denominational tuition assistance, cannot exceed total cost for tuition, room and board. Recipient cannot be over awarded or receive refunds from academic awards. Scholarships are non-transferable and cannot be converted to cash. ? Renewable scholarships and grants for new freshmen are for eight (8) consecutive semesters (Fall & Spring only). Students who initially enroll in the spring will only be awarded for seven (7) consecutive semesters, or prorated according to classification for transfer students. ? Oakwood University is not responsible for off-campus room and board expenses. Scholarships and grants do not cover cost for tuition, room and board during summer sessions. ? Scholarships initially awarded to high school seniors are based on partial transcript information (grades 9th-11th). Consequently, scholarships may change based on the final grade point average received from the official final transcript verifying graduation. ? A student that participates in the Adventist College Abroad (ACA) program will be eligible to renew their scholarship(s) when they return.
