Climb Time! Campus Recreation Center Fun for the entire family! The indoor rock wall on the first floor of the Campus Recreation Center (CRC) is a must see! The 39-foot wall is 2,000 sq. ft. of climbing space under a 100 ft. ceiling. Climbers must be at least 12 and be accompanied by a parent or sibling who is a Georgia Tech student and over 18. Parents must sign a CRC waiver and a climbing wall specific waiver. If a young climber has their own youth-sized equipment, CRC will inspect their equipment for use. Adults must use the climbing equipment provided by the CRC. New and experienced climbers welcome! Climbers should come directly to the wall to check in. Specialized ToursRobotarium ToursVan Leer Building, 2nd Floor 261The Robotarium is a swarm robotic test bed dedicated to democratizing access to research quality robotic hardware. This test bed takes submissions from all over the world and from people of all walks of life. The Robotarium project is expediting research verification as well as generating interest in STEM education. Come and see the Robotarium in action with around 20 robots performing demonstrations while learning about robotics at Georgia Tech.Sessions limited to 25 people and will last around 30 minutes.Georgia Tech Invention Studio TourManufacturing Related Disciplines Complex (MRDC), 2nd floor foyerThe Invention Studio is student-run design-build-play space open to all Georgia Tech students.? The MILLLove Manufacturing Building, 1st Floor 176The Material Innovation and Laboratory, The MILL, serves as Georgia Tech’s Hub for Experiential Education in Materials Science and Engineering, providing students with hands-on scientific training in inquiry-based discovery science and engineering design for class projects, laboratory courses, independent or group research, entrepreneurial pursuits, and team-based capstone design. Come and see one of specialty 3D printers, giant mechanical testers, or electron based microscopes! On very rare occasions, the CRC opens the Zipline portion just for fun! Participants must be at least 13 and be accompanied by a parent or sibling who is a Georgia Tech student and over 18.? Parents must sign a CRC waiver and a zipline-specific waiver.? No experience necessary. No ticket required. The zipline can accommodate about 30 participants per hour.?
