Guided Self-Placement Assessment

At College of DuPage, we are dedicated to helping you succeed in college now and in the workplace in the future. Success in college requires critical reading, writing, and thinking skills. Students answering "yes" to at least one of the questions below are eligible to take any courses that require reading and writing proficiency.

? Do you have a 2.6 cumulative non-weighted high school GPA on a 4.0 scale? ? Do you have an ACT composite score of 20 or an SAT total score of 950 or higher? ? Do you have a TOEFL score of 550 paper/pencil, 213 computer-based or 79 Internet-

based or an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher? ? Do you have a Category 1 Reading and Writing score on the ACCUPLACER exam? ? Do you have College-level credit totaling 12 semester hours with at least a "C" average?
