New Staff Member

Hi! My name is Philip Kurkinen, and I am the new speech-language pathologist at Woodland. I live in Corbett, with my beautiful wife Megan and 2-year old daughter, Annabelle. My wife and I were both born in Oregon. I have six brothers! My Mom and Dad never had any girls, until, we all started getting married, I am number 5 out of the 7 sons.

In my free time I enjoy hiking and driving through the Columbia Gorge and visiting cafes with the hope of finding the perfect cup of coffee. I played trumpet and baritone in high school, and went to state twice for track and field in the hurdles and triple jump.

That’s my life in a nutshell!
