Simone M Johnson, BA, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P, CPC-I

Ms. Johnson has over 20 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry specializing in physician-based coding and auditing, outpatient hospital coding and auditing, medical policy development, revenue cycle management, claims review, and coding education. She possesses extensive experience in ICD-9-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding, evaluation and management (E/M) coding, and coding education. Ms. Johnson has also provided training on the documentation requirements for Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding in a teaching

hospital setting.

Ms Johnson will be presenting ICD-10 for preparation for the Columbus Georgia Fall Conference event on October 8, 2011 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.

Jane Bower, RN BSN

Ms. Bower is currently the Director of Cardiovascular Development at the Heart Clinic at West Georgia Health Hospital in LaGrange Georgia.

Ms Bower will be speaking on cardiovascular procedures and how to appropriately assign a code; she will also address the current quality standards expected of coders who code for not only cardiovascular surgeons, but surgeons in general, physicians and hospitals.

Ms. Bower will be presenting on October 8th, 2011 at the Columbus, Georgia Fall Conference from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm

OUR CHAPTER

The Professional Coders of Columbus Georgia hold regular meetings the second Thursday, every other month, at 6 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital, Conference Rooms A & B.
