This notice is for the purpose of identifying potential sources and does not commit the Government to make an award and /or issue a solicitation.The Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Alabama Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHCS), Montgomery/Tuskegee, AL is seeking qualified vendors to provide radiology services for CAVHCS patients in the Columbus, GA area during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. The proposed contract is for a one (1) year base period, with four (4) one-year option periods renewable at the Government’s discretion. The following information is provided to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs in conducting market research of industry to identify potential contractors to provide the services identified.Duties and responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to the following: Imaging procedure and interpretation; to include general radiology and fluoroscopy; CT scans, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine scans, and Mammograms (including screening, diagnostic, breast ultrasound as needed), as well as electronically uploading reports into patient’s medical record. The contractor shall, at minimum: Provide licensed and credentialed staff Technologist in all modalities necessary to provide complete mammography procedures.Upload all radiology reports electronically into CAVHCS patient’s medical record immediately after interpretation by radiologists.Provide licensed and credentialed Radiologists to interpret radiographic procedures for CAVHCS during normal duty hours, Monday through Friday. Duties and responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to the following: interpretation of Mammograms (to include screening, diagnostic, breast ultrasound as needed), and other diagnostic imaging procedures in total to constitute 100% patient care. Provide appropriate patient care documentation of VA beneficiaries treated by the contractor at the time the services are rendered. Payment for services will be contingent on the completion of these forms.Notify the requesting provider of any report that requires immediate attention by telephone if a critical finding is reported.Notify lead technologist or receptionist to call the patient back for additional images if needed for a suspicious finding.Contractor's facility where services are to be provided shall be in the vicinity of the Columbus Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), 1310 13th Avenue, Columbus, GA 31906.The contractor shall meet VA and Joint Commission (JC) requirements and its facility shall be in compliance with JC and/or ACR standards for mammography.Inspection by the Chief, Imaging Service or designee may be necessary to assure quality of care, comfort, privacy, and safety to our veterans in accordance with CAVHCS standards.
