NOTICE OF MEDIATION

DATE:

TIME:

LOCATION: 375 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215, on the 16th Floor

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code section 5321.07(B) (1), the tenant has deposited rent in an escrow account with the Clerk of the Franklin County Municipal Court. These funds will remain on deposit with the Clerk until they are released either by order of the Court or by the tenant.

The Court has scheduled this matter for mediation. In mediation, disputing parties meet with a neutral third party, a court-appointed mediator, who will help them resolve the dispute in a private and confidential manner.

All parties who attend the mediation must come prepared with authority to settle the case. You may be represented by an attorney but that is not required.

Mediation is not a proceeding where evidence is presented. You may bring documents that relate to the dispute. It is not necessary to bring witnesses. If there is no settlement, the rent will remain in escrow with the Clerk until the Court orders it to be released.

If you have any questions concerning mediation, or if you resolve this matter before the mediation, please contact Colleen at (614) 645-8576 between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. There may be a wait for your hearing, so please don't bring children with you. Thank you for your cooperation.
