Objective: The student will create an acrostic poem that gives information about Columbus and his life.
Creating a Slide in PowerPoint:
• Open PowerPoint.
• From the drawing toolbar, select the Word Art icon.
• In the Word Art window, select a text that is vertical.
• Make the text the length of the slide.
• Move it to the far left of the slide.
• From the drawing toolbar, select the text box icon.
• Click and drag a box beside the first letter of your vertical word.
• Enter a fact that begins with that letter.
• Repeat for each letter of the vertical word.
• Print.
