CONVENTION.

Mr. Seibel moved and Mr. Schaar seconded the motion to approve an overnight FFA field trip to Indianapolis, Indiana for the FFA National Convention.

WHEREAS a request for an extended field trip as described herein involving

transportation by TCN school buses has been received; and

WHEREAS such extended field trips offer co-curricular educational

opportunities beneficial to total-student educational aims.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED under the provisions of ORC

3313.47, the field trip or excursion herein specified is approved;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that payment shall be made from the fund

specified herein.

#50-20: ACCEPT RECOMMENDATION OF THE SUPERINTENDENT

TO APPROVE A CONTRACT WITH GEBHART COUNSELING

SOLUTIONS, LLC FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR.

Mr. Schaar moved and Mr. Good seconded the motion to accept the recommendation of the Superintendent to approve a contract with Gebhart Counseling Solutions, LLC for the 2020-2021 school year.

WHEREAS Gebhart Counseling Solutions, LLC and the TCNBOE hereby

find and determine the services for mental health provided by Gebhart

Counseling Solutions, LLC are in the best interests of the students, and

WHEREAS through adoption of identical resolutions, under which Gebhart

Counseling Solutions, LLC will provide certain services specified in the

agreement;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract between Gebhart

Counseling Solutions, LLC and the TCNBOE be adopted. (see attachment)

Note: Two full time counselors next year

WHEREAS the gift herein described has been unconditionally offered to

the Tri-County North Local School District

WHEREAS the Board has the statutory authorization to accept such

gifts, providing such acceptance does not remove any portion of the

public school from the control of the Board,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED under the provisions of

ORC 3313.47 the Board hereby accepts the gift; and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Board is appreciative of the

generosity of this gift and the remembrance of this school district and the

students.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the archery equipment will be disposed

of at the discretion of the superintendent. (see attachment)

Ohio School Board Association for Board Policy web based services.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this resolution be adopted.

Mr. Good moved and Mr. Schaar seconded the motion to employ substitute teacher(s) for the 2019-2020 school year.

WHEREAS UPON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE Superintendent, the following recommendation for employment of certificated personnel is made; and

WHEREAS to prepare for temporary absences of certificated personnel as

needed to provide educational services for students; and

WHEREAS ORC 3319.10 grants authority for the Board to employ eligible

personnel on such a temporary, as needed, on call substitute basis.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that under the provisions of

ORC 3310.19 the following employment action is taken.

WHEREAS to prepare for temporary absences of non-teaching personnel

for whom substitutes may be needed to provide support services in

conjunction with the management and control of the school; and

WHEREAS ORC 3313.47, grants authority for the Board of Education to

employ personnel on such a temporary, as needed, substitute basis

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that under the provisions of

ORC 3313.47, the following employment action is taken and such names

shall be listed on an approved list of substitute personnel.

Mr. Schaar moved and Mr. Good seconded the motion to approve employment of Tim Martin as extra-curricular personnel for the 2019-2020 school year.

WHEREAS the following extra-curricular positions have been offered to

the certificated employees of this school district with no acceptable

responses;

WHEREAS the following extra-curricular positions have been offered to

or advertised to attract certificated persons not currently employed by

this school district with no acceptable responses; and

WHEREAS the non-certified individual(s) herein recommended have

been determined to meet the standard adopted by the State Board.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that under the provisions of

ORC 3313.53 the following persons are employed for the 2019-2020 school

year at the same salary offered to certified persons for pupil activity

program as indicated.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the individual mentioned herein be employed as a volunteer in our athletic department.
