Job DescriptionJOB TITLE:Commercial Team AssistantREPORTS TO: Commercial ManagerRESPONSIBLE FOR:N/ATYPE OF CONTRACT:Full time, Fixed Term 12-month contractSALARY BAND:A HOURS OF WORK:Such hours as are necessary to fulfil the duties. This will involve a minimum of 35 hours per week and include work in evenings and weekends as required.LOCATION:British Paralympic Association (BPA) central London offices. Travel may also be required in the UK and abroad as necessary.JOB PURPOSE:The role will provide vital support as the Commercial Team faces the challenges of securing and creating value for corporate partners as the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games approaches as well as delivering value for our existing partners.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN DETAIL:Commercial Manager SupportEnsure Commercial Manager is well supported in areas such as: Corporate Partnership management e.g. arranging meetings, taking meeting notes, supporting partner activations and organising logistics of athlete appearances or “Come and Try” sport sessions New Corporate Partner acquisition process e.g. researching prospects, creating pitch materials, arranging meetings, maintaining pipeline databaseEvent organisation e.g. logistical arrangements for BPA owned events, corporate hospitality, Royal eventsGames time planning e.g. researching Tokyo hospitality options, researching Games time sports schedule, collating information required from attendees on hospitality programmeCommercial Team SupportFrom time to time and under the supervision of the Commercial Manager provide support for other Commercial Team members across the full range of Team anise Commercial Team meetings, take notes, follow up on action pointsSupport Commercial Director on Paralympic Games time planning e.g. researching venues, hospitality, competition schedule PERSON SPECIFICATIONROLE REQUIREMENTSDue to its engagement with the ParalympicsGB teams at both the Summer and Winter Games, an assessment process may be undertaken to determine whether or not the post-holder requires a DBS Disclosure and Barred (DBS) List check.TECHNICAL COMPETENCIESEssentialEducated to A level standard, or similar equivalent level work experienceComputer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office, specifically: Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint, with an understanding of database and spreadsheet systems.
