JBSA-FSH Glow in the Park 5k

Put on your neon war paint and come light up the night for the second annual JBSA Glow in the Park 5K on

March 5 at 5 p.m. You can run at your own pace while enjoying many crazy lighting effects and themed

party stations on this illuminated nighttime course. Running the course is not the goal〞having fun is!! Warm

up with a Zumba? dance session and a cardio fusion session before you hit the course. After you victoriously

reach the finish line you can show off your dance moves and your glow spirit at a celebratory dance party.

The registration cost is $12. Each participant will receive a goody bag with T-shirt, glow gear and bib number.

Summer Pro Am League

Sign up for the USBC sanctioned Summer Pro Am League at any JBSA Bowling Center. The league runs

from June 2-Aug. 18. Joining this summer league entitles every member to their choice of elected bowling

balls or bags (drilling not included) and an entry into the Pro Am Tournament at JBSA-Lackland on Aug. 27.

The prize fund for the tournament will be $2.5K. The pros that are expected to participate in the tournament

are Wes Mallott, Randy Pederson, Carolyn Dorin-Ballard and a fourth bowler still to be determined. To sign

JBSA Cup

We at the 502 FSS are excited about the JBSA Cup, which will be a team match play tournament involving all

three locations. The format is identical to the Ryder Cup.

Here is how it works:

Each location (Lackland, Fort Sam Houston and Randolph) will identify their team through a system of

qualifiers of their choosing throughout the season. Anyone that wishes to participate in the qualifiers must

have a valid handicap established through their home course handicap system. If you do not have an

established handicap, talk to the staff at your course about obtaining one.

2016 Kinder Casino Trips

Travel to the Grand Casino Coushatta in Kinder, Louisiana with ITT. The trip includes round trip motor coach

transportation, hotel accommodations, $23 voucher from the Casino and tour guide. Sign up as soon as you

can. The bus departs at 7:30 a.m. and returns at approximately 9 p.m. the next day. Cost is $65 for double

Half Price Pavilion and Covered Picnic area

There is no better way to spend a day than at beautiful Canyon Lake. During March you can rent one of the

large pavilions or a covered picnic areas for half price. The covered picnic areas are great for a family or

small group outing (20-25 occupants) while the pavilions can accommodate large reunions (40-50 occupants)

or squadron and company functions. Take advantage of our miles of walking trails while at JBSA Recreation

Park at Canyon Lake but ensure you bring comfortable walking shoes!

Half Price Fishing Boats

The fish are biting at Canyon Lake! And to help you get around you can rent a fishing boat for half price

during March and April. Bring your favorite fishing pole or purchase your equipment from us during

business hours. We also have a new ※live bait§ machine. You can purchase live minnows, worms, catfish

dough bait or chicken livers or bring your own bait. Please note that you are required to have the boater safety

course to operate any boats from our marina. You can complete this course at Guest Reception at the lake for

$2 per person. Please allow yourself at least 90 minutes to review video and testing.

Breakfast served at the Kendrick Club

The Small Business Administration is hosting a two-day entrepreneurial workshop to assist service members

and their spouses in establishing their own business. Information covered includes: steps for evaluating

business concepts; foundational knowledge required to develop a business plan; and information on SBA

resources to help access start-up capital and additional technical assistance. SBA and Defense Department

officials are now expanding the Boots to Business program beyond transitioning service members to all

The chef will prepare a special fish menu for seafood lovers featuring fresh fish every Friday. The March

special is Salmon Wellington served with roasted potatoes, your choice of vegetable and a salad. The price is

Champagne Sunday Brunch

Members from both clubs and all DOD ID cardholders are invited to enjoy the best champagne brunch in the

nonmembers and $12.95 for children ages 6-12. Brunch will be closed on March 6 due to installation of

Alternate Jogging Route

During the construction on the JBSA-Randolph Golf Crossover Road, there is an alternate jogging route which

is highlighted in the attachment. Other options to consider for jogging are the Rambler Fitness Center indoor

track or outdoor track, Heritage Park and Perimeter Road. The use of portable headphones, earphones, cell

phones, iPod or other listening and entertainment devices (other than hearing aids) while walking, jogging,

running, biking, skating or skateboarding on roadways is prohibited

Randolph Challengers 15-Mile Bike Ride

March 5 ? 7:30 a.m.

Bikers of all ages are encouraged to get in the saddle at Eberle Park and enjoy a 15-mile bike ride in the

beautiful Texas spring weather.

Intramural Volleyball

Make sure you have your unit volleyball players ready to serve, bump, set and spike. The season starts March

Don*t miss out on some great golf at the Spring Randolph Dual. This will be a two person event (Day1 =

scramble, Day 2 = Shamble) that will be pre-flighted based upon GHIN handicaps. There will be a BBQ

lunch after the first round on Saturday prepared by Carl Null and Son. You won*t want to miss out on Carl*s

pit smoked brisket. There will be a drawing conducted Saturday during play where golfers will have a chance

to win some great golf merchandise. If you place in this tournament you will be given a gift certificate that

can be used for pro shop merchandise. If we don*t have what you need we*ll be happy to order it for you. The

price is $90 for members and $125 for nonmembers. The price includes green fees, cart fees, lunch on
