ABOUT US

THE VILLAGE GREEN COMMUNITY CENTER

opened in May 2016. It is managed by the Village

Green Metropolitan Park District in collaboration

with the Village Green Foundation, and is home to

the North Kitsap Boys and Girls Club, the Kingston

Branch of the Kitsap Regional Library System and

the Kingston Senior Center (Summit Lounge).

EVENT AND MEETING SPACES

available for rent to accommodate 5 to 200 people.

We have a huge certi?ed commercial kitchen. Our

many classes and events are designed for audiences

of all ages. Come have your wedding or conference

here in North Kitsap in the heart of Kingston only

blocks from the ferry dock!

PUBLIC TRANSIT

Kitsap Transit is the public transit system that serves

the Center by way of public bus, Kingston Ride and

Kitsap Access bus. The KT Passenger Only Ferry

takes you to downtown Seattle in 39 minutes.

Center is staffed primarily with

volunteers?

We are opening up with longer hours

and need to ?ll our support schedule.

If you have a few hours a week and

want to get involved and meet others,

consider volunteering at the Village

Green.

Computer skills are a great asset as we

need your help with scheduling

registrations and booking event

spaces.

As the more community members are

becoming vaccinated, we have more

activity in our Summit Lounge We

would love to provide coffee and are

seeking volunteers to maintain a

coffee bar in the Summit Lounge

during our Open Hours (9-5 weekdays

and 10-4

Saturdays).

Are you an event planner?

planner We¡¯re

looking for an individual to work in the

Summit Lounge and to create events

that will attract participation. Current

activities include MahJong, Bridge,

Quilting, Needlework, Technology

Rescue, and returning in Phase 4:

Meals on Wheels Tuesdays and

Thursdays. We¡¯re looking for bingo/

other games, speed dating, trivia

challenge and other ideas that come

with a facilitator.

Event Volunteers

We are host to weddings, conferences,

celebrations of life, award dinners, etc.

Event Volunteers are needed for table

and chairs setup and teardown, event

attendance with audio/visual skills, etc.

Some events take place in the evening

hours. Must be good with people and

able to troubleshoot issues as they

come up.
