|PURPOSE OF JOB: |

| |

|Ensuring the smooth and efficient management of all examinations held within the school. |

|Liaison with HoD’s and SLT to ensure all students are entered for relevant exams. |

| |

|To work 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. |

| |

|To attend 5 inset days. |

| |

|RESPONSIBLE TO: Vice Principal, Deep Experience |

|RESPONSIBLE FOR: Relief Examination Invigilators |

|EMPLOYMENT DUTIES: To comply with BMBC policies for example, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities. |

| |

Responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Liaison with all examination boards, staff, students and parents when necessary.

2. Making decisions on all aspects of the examination process.

3. Distribution of examination listing for amendment and checking by curriculum managers.

4. Distribution of pupil examination timetables and validation forms.

5. Distribution of letters to pupils, parents and examination boards on relevant examination issues.

6. Responsibility for the examination post making sure it is kept confidential and locked in a secure safe at all times.

7. The correspondence and management of private candidate entries/examinations.

8. Liaising with the Inclusion Department regarding applications for access arrangements required for candidates.

9. The organisation of the invigilation timetabling and training of external invigilators.

10. Starting and finishing of examinations.

11. Responsibility for the overall operation in exam halls and supervising the operation of invigilation during examinations.

12. Responsibility for the dispatch of scripts to correct examiners.

13. Responsibility for all coursework administration for all curriculum departments in the school and liaison with relevant moderators/exam boards.

14. Coursework marks: ensuring deadlines are met to provide marks to Boards and moderators for all coursework subjects.

15. Ordering of question papers.

16. Dispatch of completed scripts to markers with accurate attendance sheets.

17. Estimated Grades: ensuring deadlines are met to provide estimated grades to Examination Boards.

18. Overseeing the examination store.

19. Receipt of mark sheets for examiner information.

20. Examination Results: receiving and printing off results from computerised timetable package.

21. Collating results slips to distribute to students.

22. Keeping accurate records of all examination certificates received in the school.

23. The organisation of examination certificates for Presentation evening.

24. To comply with the school’s Child Safeguarding Procedures, including regular liaison with the school’s Designated Child Safeguarding Person over any safeguarding issues or concerns.

25. To comply with the school policies and procedures at all times.

26. Undertake other reasonable duties (with competence and experience) as requested, in accordance with the changing needs of the organisation.

27. Attend training as required.

28. Any other duties and responsibilities within the range of the salary grade.

29. All duties and responsibilities must be carried out with due regard to the Council’s existing policies such as Child Protection, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and Data Protection etc.
