|Course Description |

|The course provides theory essential to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the clients across the lifespan in the |

|community-individuals, families, groups, and the community itself. Emphasis is on the study and application of midwifery role components |

|inherent in community health for health promotion, and disease prevention based on the concepts of primary health care, selfcare and home |

|health care. Students are directed toward implementation of the nursing process through applying primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention|

|of disease for clients in community setting. |
