Her materials are attached to the meeting notes. The first NEFCCC order of business was the voting in of a new co-chair. Jose Morales, from the Florida Department of Health in Clay County was nominated because of his leadership work in the HPV prevention field. Last year, he coordinated a HPV documentary showing of “Someone you Love” along with a panel discussion. The event was well-attended by representatives throughout the region. Rita Malie made the motion for Jose being co-chair and it was seconded by Paul Clark. The motion passed. All Strategic Plans have been updated to date. There are still some tobacco cessation updates needed for the prevention workgroup plan. If you are interested in joining a workgroup, please contact the workgroup leader or Emily Suter.
