Immediate Past President Duties and Responsibilities

Duties According to the By-laws:

1. The immediate past president is a voting member of the Board of Directors.

2. The immediate past president shall serve as chairman of the Nominating Committee, consisting of one member from each Division who shall be selected by the Division.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

3. Work with nominating committee and in-coming president to establish a slate of candidates for next year’s officers.

4. Contact each candidate to make sure they understand the responsibilities for the position and are willing to do the job and that they have to support of their employer.

5. Administer the oath following the election and have each officer sign an affidavit of oath and give singed forms to the secretary.

6. Plan pre-conference Training Dinner and make sure all Division and State Board voting and non-voting members are invited.

7. Conduct special projects as assigned by the State President.

8. Participate in State Board meetings to provide guidance to board members.
