PRODUCT DESCRIPTION DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRSOffice of Acquisition OperationsStrategic Acquisition CenterElectronic Thermometers, Oral/Rectal Probes and CoversDate: January 5, 2015SAC-15-11007Product Description Version Number: 3.0PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONRequirements: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has a need for electronic thermometers, oral and rectal probes, probe covers, calibration tool, wall mount, and probe well holder. In accordance with FAR Part 7.105 Acquisition Planning, the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) National Standardization Program identified “Electronic Thermometers, Oral/Rectal Probes and Covers” as candidate items for standardization. This also includes the wall mount, well holder and calibration tool. The purpose of standardization is to obtain uniform quality products, at the best prices possible. The standardization initiative is in accordance with VHA Handbook 1761.2 and VHA Handbook 1761.1.
