➢ Project Description:

Since we have been reviewing the imperfect tense in class and discussing childhood pastimes, you will be assigned to complete a “Cuando yo era niño/a…”/ “When I was a child…” project. The purpose of this project is so that you can continue to practice and gain competency in using the imperfect tense through a more personalized alternative assessment. You will be expected to apply the use of the imperfect tense within the context of your childhood. Grammar points: Present, Preterit, Imperfect, Commands and the comparisons studied in class. You will also be expected to present the finished product to the teacher in Spanish on the designated due date.

➢ Project Requirements:

You must use the imperfect tense, present, commands and comparisons to discuss your life throughout your project.

|Class presentation or video. Please make sure to include images of your childhood and pastime activities in your album/book or |

|presentation. The should be a minute and half long. If you work in group each student needs to speak a minute and half to receive|

|You will memorize or present your project to the class completely in Spanish. Points will be deducted if English is used at any |

|point in the project or presentation. |

|In order to discuss your childhood, each image must be accompanied by a sentence |

|written in the IMPERFECT TENSE. The sentences should describe childhood pastimes that are relevant to the images you have decided to include in |

|your project. |

|2. You must include Chapter 7 vocabulary words and expressions in your written product in addition to other details/verbs you might want to |

|include. Grammar points: Present, Preterit, Imperfect, Commands and the comparisons studied in class. |

|You must have at least 8 written sentences per paragraph and vary your verb usage, expressions, and vocabulary. |

Mi vida

Mi  vida de niña pequeña era muy mala. Mi  vida de niña mayor no era tan mala. Ahora, como un joven, yo soy tan feliz como una lombriz. Finalmente, a mí me encanta mi vida porque es muy buena.

Mi  vida de niña pequeña era muy mala. Mi vida de niña pequeña era terriblísima. Yo no tenía amigos. Yo no tenía tantos juguetes como mis amigas. Yo hacía travesuras a mi familia y amigas.Yo siempre peleaba con todos. Por eso, mi mamá siempre dijo “¡Sé cuidadoso! No pelees!”. También, mi salud era tan mala como la salud de una  señora vieja. Por eso, mamá me decía “Come saludablemente.  “¡Ponte en forma!  “No comas tan mal  como una persona que no se cuida!” Mi vida de niña mayor era tan aburrida como un pato. Mi vida era comer malísimamente y estar sólo porque no tenía amigos.

Ahora, mi vida es magnífica porque yo hacía cosas que  ahora yo nunca más voy a hacer. También yo tengo más problemas con mi mama. Antes tenía

más que antes. Entonces, yo siempre peleaba con mi mamá. Ahora, yo nunca peleo con mi mamá. Ahora, yo no hago  travesuras  nunca. También, ahora, yo digo muchos chistes. Entonces, yo no tenía juguetes. Ahora, yo tengo muchos juguetes. Mi mamá dice ahora, “¡No seas malo!” Por eso, ahora, yo soy tan bondadosa como mis amigos. Ahora, yo soy muy buena. Yo soy mejor que mi hermana. Yo soy buenísima.

Finalmente, a mí me encanta mi vida porque es fabulosísma. Yo soy bondadosa. Yo soy tan feliz como una lombriz.
