The purpose of the WMAD awards is to recognise and celebrate the talents and dedication of women who have voluntarily made a positive difference to the lives of others.

WMAD REGULATIONS:

1. Nominations are invited for women who are making a difference in their chosen field

2. A separate nomination form must be completed for each person nominated.

3. The person nominated should live in Redland City OR have completed the activity / made a difference within Redland City

4. Nominations can be completed by an organisation or by an individual

5. Individuals cannot nominate themselves for this award but they will be asked to submit extra information with the nomination once the nomination is received by RWIN.

6. Members of the RWIN committee are not eligible to be nominated

7. Previous members of the RWIN committee are not eligible until two years from resignation.

8. Previous overall winners and category winners are not eligible until three years have passed

9. Non-winners in any category however, are eligible for nomination.

10. Nominees are to be nominated within the listed categories. As women don’t always fit neatly into a category RWIN reserves the right to amend/change the category if deemed appropriate.

11. The nominee does not need to sign the nomination or know of the nomination. However, to ensure an effective nomination, the nominator is strongly advised to ask the nominee for more information or do some research in other ways to ensure clarity and strength of the nomination and full understanding of the nominee’s work “making a difference”.

12. Nominees will be advised of their nomination within a week of RWIN receiving the nomination and will be invited to attend the Awards Function on 30th August 2014. They will be invited to submit more information and have their contact details published in the booklet being prepared by RWIN.

13. Closing date for nominations is 15/8/14. Nominations received after this date will not be considered.

14. Please enclose a photo of the nominee with this nomination (preferably as a jpg file).

15. A celebration function to acknowledge the nominees will be held on 30th August, 2014 at Sharks Sporting club, Victoria Point, with all nominees present to go in the draw with a chance to win a weekend on Stradbroke Island compliments of Pandanus Palms and Stradbroke Ferries.

16. A booklet with a summary of all nominees and their contact details will be distributed at the celebration function.
