This creative arts course is mandatory for all eighth grade students and will last one marking period of the school year. The main goal of the eighth grade Business course is to help students develop and improve their Microsoft computer application skills including the use of Microsoft Excel and Publisher. Students will first master the numeric keypad that will increase their efficiency in Microsoft Excel through the use of the MicroType 6 program. Students will use relevant information to format spreadsheets, use formulas, and create charts in Excel. Students will also gain familiarity with Microsoft Publisher using various templates to create a flier, business card, menu, and brochure.

**Student’s class participation grade will be reflected in your warm up and ticket out completion each day on CANVAS.**
