|Course description. Course focus and content, number of hours, place in overall program, pathway to further courses, accredited training or employment|

|This course will assist learners to build on skills from Beginner Computers – and learn new ones. Discover how to open and save documents, use cut, |

|copy and paste, format documents, use spell check & learn page layout. They will create new documents using Microsoft Word and save their work for |

|future reference. The course will run 3 hrs per week for 19 or 20 weeks to allow learner to consolidate and develop their skills. |

|Digital Literacy courses have been run regularly throughout the LGA and have been popular with learners. |

|Feedback from local Centrelink, Work cover agencies and Job Actives. |

|Regular discussion and moderation sessions with Tutor |

|Prerequisites. Eg computer skills and access, literacy/numeracy levels etc |

|The program is directed to learners with basic computer and/or digital literacy skills or who have completed Beginners Computers.. |

|Teacher skills. Skills, experience, qualifications needed |

|The tutor conducting the training will have computer/digital literacy experience, experience in teaching practices and knowledge of the computer |

|operating systems as specified in the Intel® Learn Easy Steps modules. |
