POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Restaurant System Manager is accountable for the continuity of the computer services for the field user utilizing 130+ NCR Terminals, 20+ BOH Dell Workstations.

The primary duties of the Restaurant Systems Manager includes the 1st level on-site hardware repair/troubleshooting as well as general support of the POS System for Units within the Apple American Group Market located in New Jersey and Delaware. The Restaurant Systems Manager will also be the 1st level hardware and software support contact for Regional Office Remote Users in the New Jersey and Delaware Market (approximately 10+ Users).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• CAT5 Wiring Installation and repair – includes termination & troubleshooting

• Extensive Hardware knowledge “Break/Fix” on NCR brand POS Terminals & Printers

• Remote PC Support /Help Desk Support (VPN Client Technology)

• Support for Regional Office Hardware installation/maintenance and networking of user PCs/Laptops; Installation and maintenance of Audio/Video system

• Overnight & Off-Hour Support for installations at New Restaurants and Remodels

▪ Early morning and late night hours may be necessary for repairs to equipment

• Responsible for inventory and tracking of equipment usage on a monthly basis

• Responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on Front of the House POS Terminals and PM/organization of Kitchen Display Systems (KDS)

• Installation/Troubleshooting/Repair/End User Training for restaurant Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems

• Installation/Troubleshooting/Repair of restaurant Audio/Video Systems; interact with Cable, Satellite, Phone, and Internet contractors on restaurant-based outages and trouble calls

• Travel is required to all 23 locations throughout the market in DE and NJ.

• Must be available for travel within the Market and to the Support Center or other locations for Training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business related field and 4+ years experience in computer related support.

• Experience working in an Information Technology Help Desk environment.

• Strong knowledge and experience with restaurant operations as well as a good working knowledge of POS systems.

• Must be at an entry user level with Microsoft Office Products including Access Databases.

• Must be a good communicator.

• Must have strong customer support skills with desire to provide the best possible service

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications and operating system applications

• Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

• Time management and planning skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Provide proof of valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
