Job Title: Computer Technician 4 - Senior Hazardous Material/Waste Specialist Contractor at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA

Key Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen

• Ability to verify U.S. employment eligibility using Form I-9

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability pass a drug test

• Six-month trial/probationary period may be required.

Location: Los Angeles Air Force Base located in the city of El Segundo, CA

(approx 2 miles from LAX, downtown El Segundo, and Manhattan Beach)

Major Duties:

The contractor will be able to accomplish the duties of the Computer Technician Level 1, 2 and 3. Additionally the contractor will possess the ability to perform (at the discretion of the site POC) the following duties:

• Provide guidance to the site regarding the functional support of the Hazardous Material Management System (HMMS) environmental program.

• To the extent that HMMS functionality is applicable, the contractors shall posses and maintain a working knowledge of the site’s local hazardous material/waste program business and operational practices.

• Assist the site in identifying, documenting and implementing business practices for running the HAZMAT/HAZWASTE management program

• Provide data verification and reconciliation to ensure HMMS data integrity on a regular basis

• Provide new site personnel user orientation and training on the functional aspects of the HMMS system.

• Acts as the first point of contact for HMMS system problems and questions.

• Provide system support in the installation, upgrade and support of such items as printers, portable data collection devices, scanners, client PCs, workstation software, etc.

• Assist the site System Administrator or system operators with periodic and routine HMMS system and data backups.

• Assist the site DBA in maintaining site HMMS Employee/User Profiles.

• Assist the site System Administrator and/or DBA in maintaining the HMMS application, software and system configuration

• Assist the site System Administrator and/or DBA with troubleshooting system service interruptions

• Assist the site System Administrator, DBA and EnvironMax Field Engineers in installing HMMS releases, patches, bug fixes, upgrades, etc.

• Assist the Site Environmental office with investigations and analyzes regarding mishaps and hazardous conditions to determine origin, causes, and contributing elements and prepares written evaluation reports concerning findings.

• Assist the site environmental management in maintaining a log/record of installed HMMS related equipment and working with the EnvironMax Field Engineers to make annual recommendations of equipment in need of upgrades or replacement.

• Assist the site environmental management with the creation of custom reports using the Oracle Reports ad hoc reporting tool. This includes gathering report requirements from the requestor, developing the data selection criteria, formatting the report and producing the finalized report. The contractor will make a reasonable attempt to verify the results of the report but the requestor is responsible for the final verification of the report data.

• Verify that received material has been classified and labeled by stock number, size, classification and condition.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

The applicant may be required to obtain a Controlled Area Access Badge if assigned to an area in which one is required. Assignments may be performed at any job site in the organization. Travel may be required.

Qualifications:

The contractor’s experience, education, and training must show enough of the knowledge, skills and abilities to demonstrate the potential to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specifically, the contractor may be evaluated on:

• Knowledge of operations, mission, command structure and guidance regulations of the specific site requesting the position.

• Knowledge of inventory procedures and the processes necessary to reconcile discrepancies.

• Knowledge of requisitioning, shipping, receiving, storage and disposition of supplies/equipment.

• Knowledge in working with regulatory agencies on compliance programs, i.e., OSHA, EPA, State, and Local.

• Skilled in operating automated equipment such as computer terminals and bar code readers/wands.

• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and/or Hazardous Waste

• Knowledge of the Hazardous Material Management System (HMMS)

• Ability to present clear and concise information consistent with targeted audience.

• Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm.

Working Conditions:

Work is generally performed inside an office environment.

Training:

The contractor may be required to complete training courses identified by EnvironMax and/or the government site as essential to job performance and may include (but not limited to) the following:

• HMMS Administration (taught by EnvironMax)

• Issue Point/Receiving Training (taught by EnvironMax)

• Waste Generators/Managers (taught by EnvironMax)

• Oracle Discoverer Training (taught by EnvironMax)

• Hazardous Material Handler Training

• Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER)

• Worker Right to Know

• And any other course deemed necessary by the government site to perform the assigned tasks
