First Aid Kits (Insert First Aid Kit contents below)

The following list contains the items that are contained in the First Aid kits on the school bus.

Items must be checked, and replenished where necessary, at the end of each school term and on an ad hoc basis by the driver following usage:

|Safety pins |Non stretch adhesive tape hypo allergenic 1.25cm wide |

|Scissors (blunt or universal) |Disposable gloves |

|Splinter probe |Cold packs (ice or chemical) |

|Torch (small pencil type) |Note pad and pencil |

|Burn cream |Instruction booklet for emergency treatment |

|Saline disposable 30mm bottle for eye wash and wound dressing |Expired air resuscitation (EAR) and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation |

|Wound dressings 13, 14, 15 |(CPR) guides |

|Dressing sterile, non-adherent small |Face shields |

|Dressing sterile, non-adherent large | |

First Aid Kits & Safety Triangles (remove items that do not apply )

This vehicle is to be equipped with the following first aid kits:

Class A, D, E and F to have 2 First Aid Kits and 5 Safety Triangles (remove as appropriate)

Class B, C, G and H to have 3 First Aid Kits and 6 Safety Triangles (remove as appropriate)

Note: 1 Safety Triangle for each First Aid Kit to be placed with the First Aid Kits for B and C Class, the additional 3 Safety Triangles should be placed in the vehicle’s Tool Box.

Fire Extinguishers

This vehicle is to be equipped with the following fire extinguisher/s:

Other Emergency Equipment

• Jack, Safety Hammers & Safety Vests (high visibility) are to be stored in an accessible location. All equipment is to be inspected regularly and maintained in a serviceable condition.

• All emergency equipment to be included on the workplace and vehicle inspection checklists.
