General description

This large print, QWERTY Bluetooth keyboard wirelessly connects to your iPad, iPhone or MAC. The key mechanism enables light touch and quiet key operation. Follow the setup instructions below to connect your new keyboard, with attention to which type of device it is meant for use with.

Items supplied

• Wireless Bluetooth keyboard

• Two AAA batteries

Orientation

Remove the keyboard from packaging and place in front of you. Position so the unit slants downwards from the top.

There are tactile lines on the F and J keys. At the bottom right corner are a set of arrow keys. An LED indicator is located at the top on the right hand side, above the 3rd button in from the right.

Turn the unit over so the step ridge is furthest from you. Towards the right hand side on the ridge is the battery compartment; to the left of the rubber foot in the corner is the lever to open the compartment.

To the left of centre of the ridge is a small, round “Connect” button; further to the left is the recessed sliding on/off switch.

Inserting the batteries

Pull the battery compartment lever to the left and pull the compartment cover up. Insert the first battery with the flat end to the left; put into the compartment and slide left. Now insert the next battery so that the flat end presses into the end of the other battery. Replace the compartment cover by inserting the 2 tabs of the cover into the left edge; lever down into place until it clicks.

Connecting to iPad and iPhone (Apple iOS)

Slide the Power switch on the back of the keyboard to the “On” position (to the right).

Press and hold the round “Connect” button on the back of the keyboard for 3 seconds until the LED indicator on the front of the keyboard flashes.

On your iPad / iPhone, go to Settings, Bluetooth and select “Bluetooth keyboard” on your list of Bluetooth Devices, to start the pairing process.

A dialogue window appears on the iPad / iPhone with a four-digit code. Type the four-digit code on your “Bluetooth keyboard” followed by Return/Enter (third button down from the top on the right hand side.)

Your keyboard should now be listed as “Connected” on the Bluetooth Devices list on your iPad / iPhone.

In order to make your new keyboard fully compatible to the iPad / iPhone iOS, type the key combination of Fn (bottom left corner button) + Ctrl (button to right of Fn button) + W on your “Bluetooth keyboard”.

Your keyboard is now ready for use.

Connecting to Mac® (Mac OS® X)

Turn the Power switch on the back of the keyboard to the “On” position.

Press and hold the “Connect” button on the back of the keyboard for 3 seconds until the LED indicator on the front of the keyboard flashes.

Open Bluetooth on your Mac OS and find “Bluetooth keyboard” on your list of Bluetooth Devices, and click the “Pair” button to start the pairing process.

A dialogue window appears giving you a six digit pairing code. Type the six-digit code on your “Bluetooth keyboard” followed by Return/Enter (third button down from the top on the right hand side.)

Your keyboard should now be listed as “Connected” on the Bluetooth Devices list in your Mac OS.

In order to make your new keyboard fully compatible to the Mac OS, type the key combination of Fn (bottom left corner button) + Ctrl (button to right of Fn button) + Q on your “Bluetooth keyboard”.
