OBJECTIVE

To serve the individuals and organizations through quality architecture by fully engaging all participants in the Project delivery in a well managed and cooperative enterprise. Ed’s approach is to bring the highest degree of quality possible to the Project, and allow for the delivery team to feel positive about their contribution. Ed’s experience as an instructor in architectural studies at the collegiate level has developed his ability to present design and technical architectural issues to clients in ways that are understandable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Edward Wimmer is a Registered Architect in four states and maintains an NCARB national registration file. Ed has over thirty years experience in the architectural programming, development entitlements, architectural and site design. construction document preparation, specification writing and enforcement, building codes and construction administration for a wide range of structures including retail, commercial, industrial, educational, governmental, attractions including public aquariums and hospitality.

Prior to forming Wimmer Architecture and Consulting, PLC Ed was vice president of Nudell Architects and manager of their Phoenix office. Previously Ed was a Project Director at a medium-sized Phoenix architectural firm, and before that was a principal in a medium sized Kansas City firm. He is personally actively involved in the clients and projects under his care including active participation design and technical documents, the process of municipal planning and permitting, and field visits during construction administration. Many of the retail and commercial clients he has served have national and regional markets, yet he is committed to smaller, tenant improvements, industrial companies, institutions, and individual clients.

In his professional career, Edward has been the registered architect for the comprehensive planning of over $500 million of facilities and the architectural services for over $600 million in planned, constructed, or renovated facilities. He has been the Principal-In-Charge for projects involving coordination of architectural and engineering teams on large, multiple building projects

Ed is accustomed to directing projects sensitive to acoustical influences on the architecture of structures such as conference centers, call centers, churches, auditoriums, recital halls and music practice rooms, classrooms for church and public facilities, as well as television-radio broadcasting and recording facilities.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:

Bachelor of Architecture (5 year) - Kansas State University,

• Edward has taken planning and urban design courses toward a master's degree in planning. He continues his professional studies in emerging technologies, best practices, sustainable (Green) practices, environmental psychology, programming, and building accessibility.

• Specification writing expertise includes working within template programs such as SpecLink and MasterSpec as well as researching national standards and broad databases. Drawing applications include AutoCAD® and training in Revit®.
