If it has been more than 3 days and you are still unable to log on please call the HR Department at 664-8241.Q. I just registered but I am not in the system yet, can I still sub if a school needs me right away?A: Let the school know you have completed orientation and are waiting to be entered in the system. The school will contact the Aesop Coordinator for approval before you are active in the system.Q: I am no longer available as a substitute. How do I remove my name from the AESOP list?A: Email or call Denise Horton via dhorton@ or 664-8241 ext. 1032 and request that your name be removed from the list.Q: If I know in advance that I will be unavailable for work, how do I block out the date(s) on my schedule?A: Select “Non-Work Days” link on your AESOP homepage. Click on “add non-work day”, choose the date range and “save”. You will not be called to work on the selected date(s). Non-work days will be shaded on your interactive calendar. You can also create a repetitive absence (example: every Wednesday or 1 whole week for vacation, etc.)Limiting your availability to accept calls from our district will be considered a declaration of not accepting work and may be considered a non-work day for the purposes of employment verification.Q: I need to cancel an upcoming assignment, what do I do?A: Select the corresponding date on the interactive calendar or “View My Schedule” link on your homepage. Click the trash can next to the confirmation number to cancel out of the job. As a courtesy you should also contact the school.Q: I only want to work pre-arranged jobs. Choose “edit” for the day(s) you would like to change, click “Don’t Call Me”, under My Preferences. Choose “apply to all”. Choose “edit” for the day(s) you would like to change, click “Call me between ____ and _______” and enter your preferred times. Q: I am a new substitute and I have not seen many available jobs. Am I doing something wrong?A: The best time to find available jobs when you are new is early in the morning or late in the evening. Last minute absences can be frustrating for the schools to fill. Many preferred subs are already busy working. It is a great time for new subs to become known. When you work for a new district it is a chance to make a good first impression! You are more likely to be put on and/or given priority on a preference list.Q: I do not feel that I am getting enough calls to work. How can I increase my availability?A: If you have been on the substitute list before and are not accessing as many jobs, try modifying your “Preferred Schools” list. Click the Preferences link from your homepage, click on “schools” and follow the instructions. If you have not done this you may be limiting your access to the schools. ?Q: How can I see jobs only at the elementary schools or secondary schools in the district?A: Modify your “Preferred Schools” list. Click the Preferences link from your homepage, click on “schools” and follow the instructions. You will then be able to identify your preferred schools and save your selection(s).Q: When I accept a late posted assignment, how do I let the school know I may be a few minutes late?A: If you are going to be late to class for whatever reason, please call the school’s office secretary as soon as possible. Q: When are timesheets due?A: Timesheets are due at the end of the payroll period and must be turned in to the District office. Please reference the payroll schedule posted on front page of the District’s website. Scroll down on the right side column under “For Staff Only” and click “Payroll Schedule”.Q:I found an available job when I logged in to Aesop but now it is gone before I can hit “accept” Where did it go?A:Aesop assigns on a first come, first serve basis. Another substitute, teacher or campus user may have saved the assignment by phone or by web before you did. You will always hear or see a confirmation number if you have been assigned to a job. ................
