Introduction to the Day
During Lent we journey with all those around the world who will be baptized at the Easter Vigil. In today’s gospel Jesus tells Nicodemus that he must be born of water and Spirit. At the font we are given a new birth as children of God. As God made a covenant with Abraham, in baptism God promises to raise us up with Christ to new life. From worship we are sent forth to proclaim God’s love for all the world.

LUCK LUTHERAN SERVICE GROUPS
Last fall the Luck Lutheran Service Group Leaders approved to not having a May/June & July/August Service Group. There will only be one service group serving funerals, unless there is a need for another service group to help out if there is a large funeral. There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex if you are able to bring food, serve or volunteer for both when there is a funeral at Luck Lutheran in addition to being on a service group. If you would like to help out in this way, please sign up on the signup sheet.
Thank you.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11TH
The “Glory Bound” highlights the musical night at Luck Lutheran Church on Wednesday, March 11th. Each of the following Wednesdays will feature other musical groups from the area.
Just as in previous years, a Lenten meal will be served this Wednesday by the September/October Service Group and First & Laketown Lutheran Church (Spaghetti hotdish) at 5:00. The program begins at 6:30 under the theme of “O Come, Let Us Worship the Lord.” Another feature of the evening focuses on an item from the church altar. You can even take home a miniature replica of that item each week, making it possible to create your own home altar over the five weeks of Lent.
Join us in this time of music in anticipation of renewing our hearts because of what Jesus has done for us on Good Friday and Easter. All are welcome each and every week for both the suppers and the musical services.
CHILI FEED
Northwoods Homeless Shelter’s Chili Feed will be at Luck Lutheran today from 11:00-1:00 p.m. (dine-in or take-out). Proceeds to benefit the Luck Hope House. Free will offering. Please join us!!
THE SUNSHINE TEAM is looking for volunteers to crochet or knit prayer shawls to give to our community in need. Please see directions located on the literature rack in the narthex. If you have any questions, please contact Sandy Madsen at 715-472-2828. Thank you.
BASKETS OF PROMISE
Each week in Lent we will collect items to form LWR Personal Care Kits that help impoverished people stay healthy in life’s most challenging situations. On Wednesday, March 11th and Sunday, March 15th we will be collecting metal nail clippers (attached file optional) & soap. Please place your items in the basket that is located in the narthex. Check the bulletin each week for the collection schedule or your March newsletter. Our goal is to assemble 110 Personal Care Kits during Lent. Thank you.
NARTHEX REMODEL PLEDGE FORMS are now available. Should you wish to make a pledge to this project, please fill out the form and return it to the office. Your pledge will remain confidential as does all of your giving to the church. A progress chart will soon be on display so that the remodel committee, church council and all members can track the financial support for this project. This project will be done entirely and only through donations specifically designated for it. No general funds will be used. A congregational vote to go forward or not is being planned for April.
EASTER FLOWERS
If you wish to order Easter flowers to be displayed in church on Easter, please return your order form to the church office by March 23rd. Order forms can be found in your March newsletter or on the literature rack in the narthex. Thank you.
