The music file must be an MP3 file or a WAV file.Part 4- TransitionsMuch like Photo Story that we learned about a few weeks ago, Movie Maker allows you to add special transitions to make your project look extra cool. Watch as Mr. G demonstrates some appealing transitions. DO THIS- Practice adding at least 5 appropriate transitions to help your project look extraordinary.Part 5- Titles/Credits/Captions11) Another great feature in Movie Maker is the ability to add titles/credits/captions. Be sure to use the “More Options” to add to the quality of your work. There are a lot of cool options for your fonts and animations. Explore and experiment with as many as you can!!!Part 6- Video Effects14) The version of Movie Maker that you are using offers 28 different “video effects” that you can use to enhance your work- List 5 of them below.Some of the more “popular ones” and their functions are listed below-Film Age- There are several of these options to make your video look olderSlow Down- This gives your film (including the audio) a slow motion appearance.Speed Up- This puts your video (including the audio) in “fast forward.”Fade Ins- These work great at the beginning of a segment to give a transitional effect.Fade Outs- These are great for ending a segment a bit more dramatically.DO THIS- Experiment with the different effects- Add at least 5 to your show. Part 7- Saving Your Work15) When you are completely done, you will want to obviously save your work. Click “Save Project AS” and save to the ____ drive. DO THIS- Save your work with a title that makes sense and has your last name in it.For example: Tech Classroom Tour- Gulecki Part 8- Converting to a WMV file.16) When you save normally, a Movie Maker file is saved. These files cannot be shared. YOU MUST CONVERT YOUR FILE TO A WMV.This is MEGA important! You will lose points throughout the marking period if you don’t do this correctly. DO THIS- Click on FINISH MOVIE, click BROWSE, drag to the folder you want to save your work to on the v drive, enter a file name that makes perfect sense, click NEXT, click NEXT again, and then watch as your project converts to a WMV file. Final checklist- DO THIS- Make sure you have done the following in your work-Put the clips in a logical order.Added at least 2 video clips from the o:drive.Added appropriate music to the video.Cut out any “dead air.”Added at least 5 transitions.Used at least 3 titles/captions/credits.Added variety to your fonts (colors, positions, sizes, types, etc.).Used a variety of title/caption/credits animations (spins, zooms, flashes, etc.). Used at least 5 different video effects.DO THIS- Upload your WMV file to the class website on the “Movie Maker Practice” page.Sharing WorkMovie Maker allows you to easily share your work through email and uploading to websites like YouTube.
