Purpose:

The purpose of this online activity is to help your child to develop their knowledge of fraction, decimal and percentage conversions.

What to do:

Follow the link below to an online activity.

Work with your child to explore the three numberlines on the page. Each red tag is to be dragged and attached in the right position underneath the appropriate numberline. Talk to your child about the fractions, decimals or percentages they recognise and encourage them to place these first. Encourage your child to make connections between the different ways of representing each value by asking questions such as:

• What is the decimal value for 1[pic]?

• What is the percentage value for 0.25?

• What connection can you see between how the decimal is represented compared to the percentage?

• What other patterns do you notice?
