Research Program: Introduction to careers in Codingwhat Can you expect From Participating in This ProjectAbout the ProjectCareer Development and CodingResearchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison are conducting a research study on the career development of youth with developmental disabilities. All participants will be asked to complete a survey three times over the summer. We are recruiting 30 individuals to complete the initial survey. After completing the first survey, participants will be entered into a lottery that will select 15 individuals for an online summer program on introduction to careers in coding. The program will involve online coursework, meetings with professionals working in the field, and a paid internship. To be eligible to take part in this study, individuals must be a member of a diverse racial or cultural group, have a developmental disability, be between 16-24 years of age, and live in the City of Chicago or Cook County.
