ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY RECORDS

Illinois High School Equivalency (GED?, HiSET?, and formerly TASCTM) records are located at the Regional Offices of Education* (ROE) for each county, which issue Verifications, Transcripts and Certificates. To request information on records, you must first determine the correct ROE to contact.

? If the test was completed prior to January 1, 2014 (and was not taken on computer), contact the ROE* for the county where the test was taken.

? If the test was completed after December 31, 2013 (or was taken on computer in 2012/2013), contact the ROE* for the county of residence at the time of test completion.

? If your county is Cook County (including Chicago), or you tested through the Illinois Department of Corrections after December 31, 2013, contact the Cook County High School Equivalency Records Office.

*Note: The Cook County HSE Records Office acts as the custodian of record for all Cook County Records and Illinois Department of Corrections tests taken after December 31, 2013.
