For students in or entering kindergarten through 2nd grade:

WELCOME TO THE ZOO!

If you're an animal lover, then this camp is for you! Discover cool facts about wild creatures, hear cuddly and silly stories, and engage in music and crafts over four fun-filled afternoons from Monday through Thursday. Snacks will be provided. Space is limited; pre-registration is required. Parents must remain at the library while their child is engaged in camp activities. Location: Valencia Park/Malcolm X Branch Library, 5148 Market St, San Diego, CA 92114 Dates (Option 1): August 17-20, 3:30-5:30 PM (Registration begins Monday, August 3) Dates (Option 2): August 24-27, 3:30-5:30 PM (Registration begins Monday, August 10)

For students in or entering 3rd through 5th grade:

A WRINKLE IN TIME: BALBOA PARK CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

Calling all young explorers and historians! Travel back in time to learn the history of San Diego's Balboa Park (including how the zoo and gardens were started) and

leap ahead in time to explore the park's future. "Meet" early San Diego celebrities, complete crafts, and hear incredible stories over four fun-filled afternoons from Monday

through Thursday. Snacks will be provided. Space is limited; pre-registration is required. Parents are encouraged to remain at the library while their child is engaged in camp activities.

OUT OF THIS WORLD SPACE CAMP

Tween and teen astronomers and future astronauts, get ready to blast off and learn about our solar system and beyond! Engage in planetary exploration, crafts, games, and a rocket launching experiment over four fun-filled afternoons from Monday through Thursday. Snacks will be provided. Space is limited; pre-registration is required. Location: Linda Vista Branch Library, 2160 Ulric St, San Diego, CA 92111 Dates: August 17-20, 3:30-5:30 PM (Registration begins Monday, August 3)

For students in or entering 9th through 12th grade:

STUDIO CENTRAL: VIDEO PRODUCTION FOR BEGINNERS

Aspiring movie makers and storytellers: Get creative with an iPad as you learn about storyboarding, video production, and editing using iMovie. Collaborate with teachers and your peers to develop your own short video. Students should be prepared to attend all eight days of camp. Snacks will be provided. Space is limited; pre-registration is required. Location: Central Library, 330 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101 (Union Bank Homework Ctr.) Dates: August 17-20 and August 24-27, 3:30-5:30 PM (Registration begins Monday, August 3)
