Part 1

Exporting Data from Web Advisor/Web Attendance to Excel

For individuals new to Web Attendance and not familiar with MS Excel, the information below may look confusing or overwhelming at first. After a few practices tries, you will likely become comfortable and proficient with this process. Once you have mastered these steps, it should only take a few minutes to replicate each time you export the data. If you need any assistance or clarification, please feel free to reach out to me. If you would like to add some MS Excel Formulas, those are covered in Part 2.

***Before you begin, you may wish to use Chrome to access WebAdvisor/Web Attendance for exporting data as this has been found to work better than Internet Explorer or Mozilla. All of the examples below are with Chrome. If you use Internet Explorer or Mozilla or possibly other alternatives, you may encounter spacing issues where there is a blank line between each student.***

From the Faculty - Web Attendance Tracking Menu, Click on "Attendance Tracking Export"

Choose the Term from the drop down menu.

The Instructor who logs in is defaulted as the Instructor's Name. If you wish to view sections for multiple instructors, remove the name of the Instructor in the Instructor's Last Name Field.
