We hope you are considering attending the 10th annual conference of the federation of College and University Retiree Associations of Canada (CURAC/ARUCC). The conference is being co-hosted at UVic 18-20 April by the retiree associations of UVic, UBC and SFU.

Sessions are being held in the University Centre conference room (Senate/Board chamber) and Room C109 in the Clearihue Building.

The program appeals to a broad audience of post-secondary retirees with panel discussions and presentations on:

• Pensions

• Seniors’ perspectives on the upcoming revision to the Canada Health Accord

• Options for seniors’ living arrangements,  

• ‘Are we Ready for Facebook and Twitter?’: communicating with the membership

• The geographic distribution of wellness among seniors: evidence from the new BC Atlas on Wellness

• How to keep healthy without really trying

• and more.

Day registration is available for Thursday 19 April and/or Friday 20 April at a cost f just $45/day.  This cost includes HST, lunch and two nutrition breaks. If you can spare only one day for the conference, the program on Friday, 20 April may be of particular interest with its dominant focus on seniors’ health and lifestyle. For those interested in attending the full conference, the cost is $150 and includes, in addition to HST, lunch and nutrition breaks, a reception on the evening of Wednesday 18 April and the conference banquet on the evening of Thursday 19 April, both events at the Harbour Towers Hotel on Quebec Street.
