Changes to the California Code of Regulations Specifies that the Human Sexuality additional coursework requirement must include the study of gender identity and gender dysphoria. Deletes the list of acceptable providers (replaced by new section 1810.5). Specifies that the Child Abuse Assessment and Reporting additional coursework requirement must have been met within the five (5) years prior to the date the board receives the application for licensure or renewal. Makes changes to the requirements that must be met to obtain a temporary waiver of CE. This includes requiring new licensees to complete 36 hours of CE in their initial renewal period rather than 18 hours. Deletes an outdated subsection. Specifies that a course on law and ethics completed to fulfill the supervisor training requirement shall not be accepted toward meeting the regular law and ethics course required for each renewal period (may not be doublecounted), but does count toward the overall 36-hour requirement. Specifies that a licensee may claim a maximum of 18 hours by teaching courses toward CE during a single renewal period. Allows a licensee who completes an occupational analysis survey to be credited with six (6) hours of CE.
