PHASES
Phase I
Phase I is a minimum of 120 days during which participants will;
• Complete the mandatory 45 days in jail,
• Engage in treatment
• Engage in required substance use monitoring
• Meet with their probation officer twice a month
• Attend Court review hearings twice a month
To be eligible to move to Phase II participants must fully comply with the above requirements and complete the intensive phase of substance abuse treatment.
Phase II
Phase II is a minimum of 120 days during which participants will;
• Continue in substance abuse treatment
• Continue with required substance use monitoring
• Meet with their probation officer every three weeks
• Attend Court review hearings once a month
To be eligible to move to Phase III participants must fully comply with the above requirements and in addition they must complete the “therapy” component of the substance abuse treatment,
be in full cooperation with a payment plan addressing Court costs and fees, attend a victim impact panel and have completed 50 percent of any court-ordered community service.
Phase III
Phase III is a minimum of 120 days during which participants will;
• Continue with required substance abuse treatment
• Continue with required substance use monitoring
• Meet with their probation officer once a month
• Attend Court review hearings once a month
To be eligible to move to Phase IV participants must fully comply with the above requirements and in addition they must complete all required substance abuse treatment with the exception of aftercare (A/A or alumni groups), pay in full all court costs and fees and complete all Court-ordered community service.
Phase IV
Phase IV is a minimum of 12 months during which participants will;
• Attend substance abuse aftercare (A/A or alumni groups)
• Continue with required substance use monitoring
• Meet with their probation officer once every two months
• Attend Court review hearings once every two month
During Phase IV the DUI Court Team will consider graduation from the program, a transfer to regular probation and/or probation termination.
