-186055-84867700RUST COLLEGE ACTION ITEMS FOR COVID-19Please be assured that the College is in consistent communication with the Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other academic institutions in the area and region. The College is closely monitoring the spread of the coronavirus, as additional cases are confirmed in the United States and other countries. At this time, there are NO CONFIRMED CASES on The Rust College Campus of the immediate area. Unless the situation changes, the College will maintain normal operations for the duration of the spring semester. Should conditions require a change, the Office of the President will inform all members of the campus immediately. The faculty, staff, and students are advised to follow the protocol below for prevention and treatment which comes from the Centers for Disease ControlPREVENTION TREATMENTAvoid close contact with people who are sick.Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.Stay home when you are sick.Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.Follow CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.SYMPTOMSReported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.
