CPR Certification Information Sheet

As stated in the Appointment Information for Residents and Fellows document, your appointment is contingent upon meeting the requirement of certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). All residents must be CPR certified and maintain compliance throughout their training at UWHC.

If you are currently certified, provide a copy (both sides) of your certification card.

Resident who are not compliant with CPR in the last year of residency, will not receive their certificate of graduate training. Certificates will be held in the GME office until the resident completes CPR.

If you need to be certified, your certification has lapsed or you have not been previously certified, you are strongly encouraged to complete this requirement as soon as possible. Contact your coordinator to see if you have already been scheduled for the required classes. If not, contact the EMS Office at the appropriate number listed below for information on certification classes.

If you need to be recertified and your card has not yet expired, you are strongly encouraged to complete this requirement prior to your start date. Contact your coordinator to see if you have already been scheduled for the required classes.
