b) How do you think these invasions affected the development of Mesopotamian culture? Outline both positive and negative effects.
4. How did government evolve in ancient Sumeria? Be sure to include the terms lugal, and theocracy in your answer.

2. Answer the three (3) questions on page 45 under the Then and Now section about Temple-Towers. (They are in the first paragraph)
3. Copy the social pyramid diagram on pg.47 – give a brief description of each class of society.
4. Consider the status of women in ancient Mesopotamia. What are some of the positive and negative aspects of their lives?
5. Refer to your Mesopotamian Map activity. Using the information about trade on pgs. 52-53, sketch the Sumerian and Babylonian trade routes, labeling the products they exchanged with different countries.
