I love this book because Echo knows how to write a good story and these are stories that YOU -the layperson -- need to read. The fact that these stories were originally told years ago is irrelevant because if she were to interview us -- or any ED (Emergency Department) RN today -- the stories would still be there. Those of us interviewed by Echo would do it again because we need to let you what our lives are like. What our patients are like. What we did to protect you, to care for you, to

fight for you.....Plus -- well, you just won't believe some of the crazy s--- that happens in an ED. I promise you will be entertained as well as enlightened, wide-eyed and amazed.These are also stories that every RN needs to read. Why? Because sometimes at the end of a shift, while driving home, you think, "how the f--- did I get through this shift? No one would believe me if I told them what happened today...."
