Un-Wanted Poster Assignment

Your Objective: Create an (Un) Wanted Poster for a Texas Invasive Species.

For a list of Invasive Species in Texas visit the following link: or go to and choose one from the drop-down menus.

Choose one that interests you to do some research to complete an “unwanted poster” for your invasive species. When you have selected your invasive species of choice, please inform your teacher as this is on a first come first serve. You may use the template on the next page to complete your poster. When you are finished, please delete everything on this first page and only save your poster to your teacher’s usb drive (Public E: under the Folder: Invasive Species Project, then Folder: your Class Period). Save your file as your name.

Your Un-Wanted Poster should include the following:

Damage caused by the invasive species (this is the crime)

Pictures & Description

Aliases (other names it is known as)

Where did it come from? (Where does it live normally?)

Where in the world is it a problem?

Date of introduction

Cause of introduction

Prevention Methods (what can we do to get rid or prevent the invasion?)

Citation – Titles of websites and url address used
