It can be done face to face or virtually. Write someone a letter – this could be to a friend; someone you know is lonely or to family. Create a fitness routine for your family and/or friendsDevelop a skill you already have – learn a new trick, a new scale, a new technique – the possibilities are endless!Perform a song/ poem/story to your family. You might want to make puppets to help or you might want to choose costumes! Give positive comments to as many people as you can. Smile at everyone you see – smiles are ‘catching’ and when someone smiles at you, you smile back. Research a recipe and work with your family to create a meal that might be different to the ones you usually have. Try a new skill! There might be something you have always wanted to try – if it is possible within current restrictions have a go!Go for a walk as a family. Whilst you are out think about what you can see, what you can hear, what you can smell, what you can feel. Organise a virtual ‘break time’ with your friends or family. Sit down together and have a chat about what you have been up to. Thank someone who has done something nice for you – show them how much you appreciate them and their support. Create a quiz to do virtually with your family or friends. This could be on paper or it could be an online quiz, there are lots of sites you can use to help you!Do an act of kindness that makes life easier for someone. Share your favourite piece of work from this week with your friends, telling them why it is your favourite and what you enjoyed about it. Send an encouraging note or message to someone you know needs cheering up at the moment. Make a picture for a neighbour or relative to cheer them up. Try something new! This might be a new activity, a new sport, a new food – there are many possibilities! Learn a times table you know you are finding particularly tricky. You might want to make a game to help. Have a competition with your family.
