I have two Surface Pro 3’s (One is i7 one is i5 both Win 10). I want to create an image of the i7 and restore it to the i5. Steps I took are as follows:Using Acronis True Image 2016, I did a complete back up (about 60 gigs) of the i7 to a USB external hard drive (f:). Files on the hard drive are: Entire PC (VRH_SURFACE7)_full_b1_s1_v1.tib (Original back up on 6/7/2016) Entire PC (VRH_SURFACE7)_inc_b1_s2_v1.tib ( Next back up 6/17)Entire PC (VRH_SURFACE7)_inc_b1_s3_v1.tib ( Most recent 6/29)Next I ran Universal Restore Media Builder and created a USB boot media with the following options:a) Windows- like representationb) I did not specify any Linux kernel parametersc) Selected Acronis Universal Restore (64 bit)d) Selected the USB Drive (G:)e) I did not specify any drivers for the mass storage deviceReceived the “Bootable media has been successfully created” message.3) I restarted the i5 using the USB drive and got the following image after selecting (1) upon boot up:At this point my keyboard worked but the mouse did not so I had no way to do anything more. I assumed here I would select the USB external hard drive (f:) folder so it could find that back up to restore. What did I do wrong? ................
