Create a PowerPoint presentation on your favorite author

Create a PowerPoint presentation on a topic of your choice. Your topic must be school appropriate. If you are in doubt, ask me. PowerPoints should include:Title slide (10 points)Slide numbers (10 points)Your own customized template (30 points)Animation (10 points)Transitions (10 points)At least one shape (10 points)At least one picture with the background removed (10 points)A “home slide” that contains hyperlinks or action buttons linking to each of your slides (20 points)An action button on each slide to link back to your home slide (10 points)A hyperlink to an outside, school appropriate website related to your topic (10 points)At least one picture used as a hyperlink or action button (does not count as your outside link, although it may be an additional outside link.) (10 points)Text and background contrast well (20 points)PowerPoint is easy to read. You have used correct spelling, and the font is a readable type, size, and color.) (20 points)Minimum of 10 slides (50 points)*Presentation is done in a professional manner (voice is clear and loud enough for everyone to hear.) (20 points)*You must have at least 10 slides in your presentation. For each slide not completed, you will lose 5 points, plus the points for each of the elements above that should have been included on that slide. You will lose 16 total points for each slide not created. Set up your design template on the Master slide so it will appear on all the slides.? Make sure the template does not make the content on the slides unreadable.? Include both slide transitions and animation on your slides.? Normally it isn't necessary to animate the title of a slide.? The slide transition should serve as the animation of the title. The most common mistake in PowerPoint slide design is to get the font size on the slides too small.? The general rule is 7 x 7.? This means that in the main body of the slide you do not want to have more than seven rows of information nor more than seven words in a row.? Pictures and clip art can dress up a slide.? Make sure that the pictures are crisp and clear.Another common problem is when a slide is underutilized.? This can happen when there is a lot of blank space on the slide or when slide information is left out in favor of pictures or clip art.? The slide needs to be rich in detail within limits.? The slides need to have sufficient information on them so that they could stand by themselves without verbal explanation and still convey the proper message to the viewer.Slides can easily become cluttered with items that are not necessary.? Usually when working with lists you are looking at phrases not sentences.? Consequently, you can eliminate end punctuation and small words like "a" and "the".? The slides are guides to the information.? They aren't meant to be read word for word. This presentation is worth a total of 250 points. ................
