Guidelines for “What’s Next in the Life I Will Lead” Final

Directions:

In creating your leadership plan, you need to incorporate all information from class discussions, handouts, homework and presentations from the semester. Remember to use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation (referred to in the rubric as technical errors) on your slides and remember the 6x6 Rule!

There is a 13 slide minimum requirement. You must include a Title Slide and a Works Cited/Reference slide. You are required to email your final copy to your teacher by the due date provided.

The slides should be in the following order:

Title Slide

Make sure that the Title, your Name, Date and Teacher are included.

Attention Slide

(Picture, Quote, Humor, etc.)

Compose your own personal definition and philosophy of leadership.

For this slide you are not expected to memorize your personal definition and philosophy of leadership, but note that you should not type it out on the slides because it would break the 6x6 rule. It is highly recommended that you use your note cards wisely.

Include your plans for post-secondary education and/or training

(4 year college, technical school, military, etc.)

Include your perceived professional goal to be attained by the age of 30.

(career, profession, etc)

6. Create a public service announcement to demonstrate your passion for a community service

organization/opportunity.

The slide for the public service announcement should serve as a background (i.e. a bulletin board, image from a commercial and/or picture, etc.). You serve as the “voice” for the PSA

7. Give examples of your planned generosity and servanthood by the time you are 30.

What causes or issues interest you the most? How would you like to give back to the community?

If you could add a 22nd quality to John Maxwell’s list, what would it be and why?

Refer to the class handout with descriptions of each quality.

Use IMovie or another app to create your own Minute with Maxwell. Choose an original word that relates to leadership, service, generosity, citizenship, etc. Your message should be no more than one minute. (Note: the term you select for #8 would be appropriate here)

Which of Maxwell’s 21 Laws of Leadership do you believe will have the most impact on your life between now and the age 30 and why?

Refer to your handout where you wrote the definition and an example for each law.

Give three to five examples about Financial Literacy and Digital Literacy.

Briefly comment on the Financial Literacy and Digital Literacy. Give examples of what you learned, obstacles to stay away from, and knowledge you learned in this Unit.

Conclusion – Summarize your presentation
