Campus Federal Credit Union has an immediate opening for a Vice President of Human Resources. Responsible for the oversight and execution of the credit union’s human resources function, including developing and executing effective strategies to attract, develop, reward and retain outstanding employees. The VP of Human Resources will report to the CEO and partner closely with the Executive Leadership team.Responsibilities: Plan and direct programs for all human resources areas including employment, employee relations, compensation, training and development, benefits administration, and equal employment opportunity.Develop policies and programs to meet and anticipate organizational needs. Communicate and assist in the interpretation and implementation of personnel policies. Participate in decisions involving employees.Develop and maintain HRD strategic staffing plan to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions of responsibility. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the organizationProvide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function in assisting all managers in talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, and leadership development. Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee engagement evaluated through periodic employee engagement surveys.Develop progressive and proactive compensation program to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance. Participate with other senior managers to develop and execute short- and long-range corporate strategic and operational plans, policies, programs and systems.Research and monitor national benefits trends. Develop benefit programs that are cost effective and designed to attract top talent and retain valued employees. Recommend changes in benefits offered as needed. Oversee activities related to credit union’s retirement plans – both qualified and non-qualified plans. Work with third party administrator, attorney, auditors and board regarding all plans.Oversee the development and implementation of the credit union’s training strategy to enhance the knowledge and skills of credit union’s employees.Working with executive management, maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish credit union goals and objectives.Protect the interests of employees and the credit union in accordance with human resource policies and governmental laws and regulations.Requirements:Requires a bachelor's degree in field related to HRD and a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR. Experience in financial institutions preferred. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within human resource field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
