CRISIS COUNSELOR/THERAPIST – WASHTENAW CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER

Join a team of dedicated professionals and put your skill and experience to work helping children and families through the critical services the Washtenaw Child Advocacy Center provides. We seek a compassionate, mid-career professional with proven experience in crisis counseling to fill an immediate full-time opening. The Crisis Counselor/Therapist position provides crisis intervention, short-term support and therapy, court preparation, and information/referral services to child sexual abuse victims and their non-offending caregivers/family members.

Requirements include Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice or related field, plus two years’ experience in the area of child abuse, crisis intervention, trauma informed therapy, child development, and/or the criminal justice system. LMSW preferred. Ideal candidate will possess stellar interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage a diverse client population of children in crisis and their non-offending caregivers/families.

Competitive pay range starts in mid-30s. Total compensation includes comprehensive benefit plan with employer contribution, 401k retirement option, plus paid time off and paid holiday schedule that includes the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
