PURPOSE

|The main purpose of this position is: |

|To provide instruction in clinical skills for undergraduate and postgraduate students |

|To assist with the development and provision of clinical skills training programmes for the UCT Clinical Skills Centre. |

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

|Minimum Qualifications |A professional qualification in Emergency Care (National Diploma, CCA with experience or B,Tech) |

| |Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). |

| |An interest and experience in teaching and training health professionals |

| |Computer literacy, particularly with MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Email and Internet |

|Minimum Experience |At least 2 to 4 years’ clinical or professional experience |

| |At least 2 to 4 years’ experience in teaching and training health professionals |

|Recommended |Additional qualifications in health profession training or education will be advantageous |

| |Experience in working in a critical care environment |

| |Experience in educational assessment and research |

| |Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) |
