Functional Medicine & Regenerative Medicine in Hilton Head ...

My granddaughter, Breana, suffered with digestive issues most of her life. Eating often caused pain and suffering. Years passed with many doctor appointments, naturopaths, online research, dietary changes and supplements. Unremitting home, medical and naturopath intervention brought no resolution nor relief. Finally, Thanksgiving of her 17th year severe pain created an emergency situation.During Thanksgiving Break Breana’s pain escalated and she was taken to the emergency room at the local hospital. MRI’s, CAT Scans, blood work, urine analysis and x-rays were performed. The test results indicated that the wall of Breana’s intestines gave way to years of infection and inflammation and the breach of the intestinal wall was responsible for the pain, and what was now a critical, life-threatening situation. Heavy duty pain medicines and IV antibiotics accompanied her admission to the hospital. After a one-week hospital stay Breana’s white cell count was “safe enough” to allow a release from the hospital. Five days after her release a subsequent blood test indicated her white count was dangerously high (21,000). This prompted an immediate trip to emergency, more CAT Scans, blood and urine tests and another admission to the hospital for more IV antibiotics and insertion of a drain to allow the infection to flow from her body. Baffled doctors ordered more tests to discover the cause of the infection.Additional tests could not pinpoint a cause. Another week in the hospital with daily blood tests resulted in Breana’s white cell count returning to a “safe enough” level to once again return home. Just one-week later, during a follow-up doctor visit, blood tests indicated the necessity for another hospital admission. More IV antibiotics, pain meds, and testing. Tests were inconclusive and the diagnosis could not be determined. A pediatric gastroenterologist became convinced that Crohn’s was the culprit. A colonoscopy was preformed to demonstrate the existence of granuloma cell; proof positive that Crohn’s was the culprit…no granuloma cells discovered. Breana continued to suffer with no possibility for relief and an ever-elusive diagnosis. Then we discovered Dirk Yow and colon hydrotherapy. Breana began sessions with Dirk in early summer. During our first session discussions with Dirk exposed his vast knowledge and his perpetual thirst to seek new and additional knowledge. Breana began with three sessions per week but soon reduced session frequency to about once every three months. Within six weeks of her first session Breana was eating solid food and began to gain weight. The pain slowly lessened, and the infection slowly disappeared. Today she is pain free. She has gained weight and eats healthy, solid food. She no longer entertains suicidal thoughts from feelings of despair and the prospect of a future filled with agony and hospital stays. Breana is happy, enjoying life and planning for a future. I believe that without Dirk’s hydrotherapy sessions Breana would still be grappling with pain and discomfort and a lifetime of inconclusive tests. I would recommend Dirk Yow’s colon hydrotherapy to anyone with a colon. His decades of experience and his quest for knowledge make him the most qualified colon hydro therapist I have ever met. Current research indicates the importance of a healthy “gut” (colon) and the effects on the entire body and mind. I believe that Dirk Yow’s colon hydrotherapy is a necessary ingredient in a healthy life plan. ................
